The Beginning
Helite was founded in 2002 by Gérard Thevenot, a French engineer passionate about high-risk sports like motorbike riding, horse riding, and cycling. Motivated by a desire to create personal protective equipment, he developed airbags tailored to these sports. The high accident rates led to the filing of the first patent for personal protection airbags.
Our expertise in the protection
Helite has become an expert in personal protection systems, developing airbags for high-risk activities. From concept to design, our technology is validated through extensive prototypes and crash tests. Our airbags are used in motorcycling, horse riding, cycling, health, aeronautics, industrial work, and top-level sports.
